Lights, Gas, Action: Powering Up Your Journey's End Paradise

Moving into the tranquility of Journey's End is undoubtedly an exciting new chapter not many are afforded — or can afford (hello, million-dollar homes!).

But before you can truly settle in, there's one essential step you need to accomplish: powering up your new home with utilities like electricity, natural gas, and water.

Don't worry; while the setup process might seem overwhelming, it's easier than you think when you know where and HOW to start.

First is the electricity care of Florida Power & Light (FPL).

If you're a new customer, visit their website, fill out an online application, and prepare your Social Security number, Driver's License, or Tax ID alongside your full-service address and preferred connection date.

Meanwhile, existing customers transferring service must notify FPL of their disconnection date at the old address and the reconnection date for your new Journey's End address.

** A $25 deposit and setup fees, whether you're starting fresh or continuing your service, will be charged.

Moving on, Florida City Gas (FCG) handles the natural gas service in your area.

Start by confirming service availability, then provide your identification details and preferred connection date, while those transferring service must update their information with FCG to proceed.

Note that deposits are based on your home's square footage and typically amount to twice the average monthly bill, and a connection fee is also required to set everything up.

Lastly, water and sewer services are managed by Miami-Dade Water & Sewer.

Once you've confirmed availability through their website, new customers can create an online account and arrange service.

Expect deposits of $50 each for water and sewer services, along with a $45 non-refundable connection fee.

Already a customer? Ensure there are no outstanding balances before transferring service to your new home.

Lag-Free Living: Your Guide to Internet and Cable in Journey's End

Let's be honest: no mansion is complete without blazing-fast Wi-Fi and a solid cable setup for those late-night Netflix marathons or catching the big game in high definition.

So, when applying for internet and cable, don't just settle for any provider but Miami's finest options, Comcast Xfinity and AT&T — these two companies are ready to deliver top-tier service tailored to your household's needs, whether you're streaming your favorite shows, gaming like a pro, or running multiple smart devices!

First, pick the plan that matches your vibe.

Then, apply online or visit a nearby store with your IDs and new Journey's End address handy to request service.

Already with Comcast or AT&T? No problem.

Existing customers can transfer their accounts to the new address after they clear any outstanding balances.

Don't forget to ask about deposits, activation fees, installation costs, and equipment rentals before signing up — a little planning upfront saves you from any surprise charges later.

With your internet and cable squared away, your new Journey's End retreat is ready for movie nights, TikTok scrolling marathons, and every other digital delight you can imagine — because nothing says "welcome home" like zero lag during your favorite series finale.

Cruising into the Sunshine State: Your Florida Driver's License Made Easy

Welcome to Journey's End, a luxurious suburban slice where the streets are serene, the greenery is lush, and your exclusive Coral Gables lifestyle begins... after getting your Florida driver's license!

Yes, you read right!

Before you can start cruising around Miami's sunny streets, your Florida driver's license should be checked off your list within 30 days of establishing residency.

So, if you have yet to secure yours, head to the nearest Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV) or any local office offering driver's license services and submit the necessary documents.

To know which documents to bring, click on your residency status:

The initial Florida Class E license, including a learner's permit, is $48.00, a commercial driver's license (Class A) is $75.00, and an ID Card fee is $25.00.

For a complete list of fees, click here.

If you have a license from another state, country, or jurisdiction, you'll likely skip the Drug and Alcohol courses, Class E Knowledge exams, and driving tests.

But don't put away your glasses just yet — the Vision and Hearing test is still required.

You'll also need to have your car(s) titled and registered for insurance within ten (10) days of establishing residency.

Meanwhile, for those with an existing Florida driver's license, let the DMV know about your new address to get it on file and the new ID.
