Here are 7 things you need to do IMMEDIATELY when moving to San Souci Estates.

(1)

Plug, Pour & Prepare: The Utility Trio You'll Need in San Souci Estates

Are you ready to set up your new San Souci Estates to maximum comfort?

If you are, it's time to get you powered up, cooled down, and sipping fresh water!

First, let's flip the switch with Florida Power & Light (FPL) to get some electricity flowing, so you'll have a first night with all the lights on and your favorite playlist echoing throughout the rooms.

New account holders need to submit their Social Security, Driver's License, Social Insurance, or Tax ID number, the new service address, and the connection date, and existing FPL customers only need to advise the disconnection date (old address), re-connection date,  and complete service address for a service transfer.

A deposit of $25 (minimum) and other initial set-up fees may be charged upfront, whether you're a new or existing customer.

Next, get your kitchen (and maybe your BBQ) ready with natural gas service from TECO Peoples Gas to bring yourself one step closer to the smell of that first home-cooked meal!

To apply, submit the necessary IDs and connection date (new customer) or advise the disconnection date, the complete address of your new home, and your preferred service transfer date (existing customer).

Note that deposit fees may be based on the home's square footage or equal to twice the average monthly bill, and you may need to settle a connection fee before the service connection.

Lastly, contact the City of North Miami for your water and sewer services, especially if you're transferring to a newly built property.

Otherwise, these two utilities should be up and running upon your relocation.

Signal Strong: A Quick Guide to Internet and Cable in San Souci Estates

If you're all about streaming marathons and have family Zoom calls on the regular, your internet and cable are as essential as hooking up your utilities.

But if you want the best service, check out Comcast Xfinity or AT&T and enjoy strong connections and customizable options.

Determine your household's usage and entertainment needs and submit your complete address and proper IDs online or in person at the nearest Breezeline or Hotwire store.

Or, if you're an existing customer, request a service transfer as soon as you pay any remaining balance on your account!

It's also best to ask your provider about paying deposits, activation/installation, and equipment rental fees upfront.

A quick installation and a few connections later, you'll be all set to surf, stream, and stay connected to friends, family, and beyond!

On the Road to San Souci Living: Your Guide to a Florida Driver's License

Drive around San Souci Estates like a true local with a Florida driver's license!

By getting this ID, you're not only adhering to the state's guidelines (a Florida driver's license is a REQUIREMENT within 30 days of establishing residency), but you'll be able to explore the roads without worries (or breaking the law!).

When ready with the necessary documents, head to the nearest Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV) or any local office offering driver's license services and submit them all.

To know which documents to bring, click on your residency status:

The initial Florida Class E license, including a learner's permit, is $48.00, a commercial driver's license (Class A) is $75.00, and an ID Card fee is $25.00.

For a complete list of fees, click here.

Those with a current or previous driver's license from another state, country, or jurisdiction don't have to take Drug and Alcohol courses, Class E Knowledge exams, and the Florida Driving tests.

However, the Vision and Hearing test is mandatory!

Meanwhile, if you have an existing Florida driver's license, notify the DMV of your relocation so the new address will reflect on your ID and the system!

Also, don't forget to get insurance to title and register your vehicle(s) within ten (10) days of establishing residency.
