Here are 7 things you need to do IMMEDIATELY when moving to Keystone Point.
(1)
Power, Flow, and Comfort: Getting Your Keystone Point Utilities Up and Running
Utilities are the lifelines of every home, and on Keystone Point, setting yours up is as easy as a coastal breeze!
To start, visit the Florida Power & Light (FPL) website to get your electricity running.
New to FPL? Create an account and fill in vital details like your Social Security Number, Driver's License, Social Insurance or Tax ID number, full-service address, and desired connection date.
If you're an existing customer, you only need to log into your account, select the disconnection (at your old home) and connection dates, and you're all set!
Don't forget to prepare a deposit fee (around $25) and any set-up charges!
Next on the list is your natural gas service care of TECO Peoples Gas.
Submit the necessary IDs and connection date (new customer) or advise the disconnection date, the complete address of your new home, and your preferred service transfer date (existing customer).
Your deposit fees are based on the home's square footage or equal to twice the average monthly bill, and you may need to settle a connection fee before the service connection.
Finally, your water and sewer services.
If you're moving to a newly built home, visit the City of North Miami website to activate your account for water and sewer services.
Otherwise, these should be up and running upon your relocation.

Stay Linked: Cable and Internet Essentials for Keystone Point Living
Apart from utilities, having a reliable internet connection and cable TV are also a must, especially if you want to avoid losing touch with your family, friends, and the world outside Keystone Point, including your favorite TV series!
So, for the best packages and deals, look to service providers like Comcast Xfinity and AT&T!
Consider your household usage and entertainment needs and pick the best bundle for your home.
Once you have a package in mind, submit your complete address and proper IDs online or in person at the nearest store and request a service, or have your existing connection transferred to your new home after settling any balance on your account!
Ask about any deposits, activation/installation, and equipment rental fees to settle upfront — surprise charges are a no-no, especially when working with a tight budget!

Wheels in Motion: Securing Your Florida Driver's License in Keystone Point
An ID is useful in processing your paperwork, applications, and services, especially if you're moving to Keystone Point from a different state or country.
So, if you're still missing proof of identity with your new Keystone Point address, apply for a Florida driver's license!
By doing so, you're not only adhering to the state's guidelines (a Florida driver's license is a REQUIREMENT within 30 days of establishing residency), but you'll be able to drive around Florida!
Get yours by visiting the nearest Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV) or any local office offering driver's license services and submit the necessary documents.
To know which documents to bring, click on your residency status:
The initial Florida Class E license, including a learner's permit, is $48.00, a commercial driver's license (Class A) is $75.00, and an ID Card fee is $25.00.
For a complete list of fees, click here.
If you're already a licensed driver from another state, country, or jurisdiction, you'll probably skip the Drug and Alcohol courses, Class E Knowledge exams, and Florida Driving tests.
That said, the Vision and Hearing test is still a must.
Meanwhile, if you have an existing Florida driver's license, notify the DMV of your relocation to update the address on your ID and the system!
Also, don't forget to get insurance to title and register your vehicle(s) within ten (10) days of establishing residency.
