Write your life's next chapter in the warm caress of Mother Nature's exotic beauty and the calm ripples of the Bay as you dive into the luxurious coastal lifestyle of Hammock Oaks, a magnetic medley of contemporary elegance and timeless grace on the water.

Traverse the scenic thoroughfare of Old Cutler Road towards Coral Gables' southernmost tip and welcome a new beginning at Hammock Oaks, an opulent haven merging sophistication and tropical serenity along Biscayne Bay.

Sharing the same tranquility and prestige of Miami's most coveted addresses, including Gables Estates, Snapper Creek Lakes, Cocoplum, and Gables by the Sea, Hammock Oaks serves as a choice retreat for those who want to steer clear from the city's buzz into the comforting embrace of the outdoors, the ocean just one sail away.

But don't be fooled by Hammock Oaks' seemingly secluded location on the bayfront!

While revered for its supreme exclusivity and privacy, Hammock Oaks puts you just minutes from Miami's vibrant scene, as it offers a rewarding journey by the tides enhanced by the city's irresistible pleasures!

So, whether you're envisioning life amidst Hammock Oaks' waterfront or have already taken the leap into this lush coastal paradise, let our guide help you navigate your new home and unlock the hidden gems that make this tranquil retreat a true escape from the hustle of the city.

Here are 7 things you need to do IMMEDIATELY when moving to Hammock Oaks.

Let There Be Light, Water, and Fire: Your Guide to Powering Up Your Hammock Oaks Utilities

Fuel up your new Hammock Oaks estate (literally!) by getting your essentials in check, including your electricity, natural gas, and water services!

To start, visit the Florida Power & Light (FPL) website to send in a service request.

New customers must submit an online application with their Social Security, Driver's License, Social Insurance, or Tax ID number, the complete service address, and the connection date.

Meanwhile, if you're an existing patron, advise FPL of the date of disconnection (old address), the date of re-connection, and the complete address of your new home.

Note that a deposit of $25 (minimum) and initial set-up fees may be charged before service connection, whether a new or existing FPL customer.

For natural gas, contact Florida City Gas (FCG), confirm service availability, submit your IDs and date of connection, or update your service date and address if you're already a customer.

You should expect to be charged deposit fees based on your home's square footage equal to twice the average monthly bill, alongside a connection fee, before the service starts.

To wrap it up, check for water and sewer availability on the Miami-Dade Water & Sewer website!

Once confirmed, new customers must create an online account and deposit $50 for water, $50 for sewer, and a non-refundable $45 connection fee, and existing owners are also required to settle any outstanding balance before the selected transfer date.

From Wi-Fi to Prime Time: Setting Up Internet and Cable in Hammock Oaks

Fall more in love with your massive Hammock Oaks mansion (if that's even possible!) by getting a lightning-speed internet connection and reliable cable service (for binge-watching your favorite series!).

And don't get yours from just any provider!

For the best packages and service, head straight for Miami's top providers, Comcast Xfinity and AT&T.

Choose the right plan for your household, apply online (or pop into the nearest store), and have your complete address and IDs ready to request a service.

Existing users can have their services transferred to the new address after settling any balance on their account!

Don't forget to ask about any deposits, activation/installation, and equipment rental fees to settle upfront to avoid surprise charges.

The Keys to the Road: Securing Your Florida Driver's License — Hammock Oaks Edition

Relocating to Hammock Oaks? Securing your Florida driver's license is a top priority!

Not only is it a MUST within 30 days of establishing residency, but your driver's license is also the golden ticket to cruising around Miami hassle-free.

Don't worry; the process is pretty easy!

Visit the nearest Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV) or any local office offering driver's license services and submit the necessary documents.

To know which documents to bring, click on your residency status:

The initial Florida Class E license, including a learner's permit, is $48.00, a commercial driver's license (Class A) is $75.00, and an ID Card fee is $25.00.

For a complete list of fees, click here.

A licensed driver from another state, country, or jurisdiction? There's good news: you'll probably skip the Drug and Alcohol courses, Class E Knowledge exams, and Florida Driving tests.

That said, the Vision and Hearing test is still a must.

You'll also need to have your car(s) titled and registered for insurance within ten (10) days of establishing residency.

Meanwhile, for those with an existing Florida driver's license, let the DMV know about your new address to get it on file and the new ID.
