On La Gorce Island, life is always sweet and stylish for the whole family — those with paws included!

Here are the dog-friendly parks near La Gorce Island.

1) Bark Beach - North Beach Oceanside Park (Top Pick!)

8328 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33141

Who knew La Gorce Island pups could be so lucky lounging beachside at their very own Bark Beach, just 8 minutes away?

Found in North Beach Oceanside Park, Bark Beach is Fido's perfect spot for sun, sand, and sea!

While the entire beach area along North Beach Oceanside Park is off-limits to non-human visitors, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays between 1:30 PM and 5:30 PM are an exception!

During this period, the section between 80th and 81st Streets becomes an off-leash doggy paradise, where your dog can romp in the sand and splash in the water as long as they keep within the dog beach area.

Let your dog play under the sun, crush the sand castle you built, or get their paws wet on the beach — these four-legged beachgoers can run the stretch without a leash, but keep it on hand for entering and exiting Bark Beach and in the rest of the park.

After the long beach day, bring your pups to North Beach Oceanside Park's dog park so the fun doesn't end just yet!

It has two double-fenced dog-run areas, one for large dogs and one for small dogs, so your pup can ditch the leash again inside the area, alongside water fountains, benches, bags, and trash cans to make clean-up a breeze!

2) Fairway Park  (Top Pick!)

200 Fairway Dr., Miami Beach, FL 33141

A beautiful family park set south of Normandy Shores Golf Course, Fairway Park is a gated dog-friendly North Beach park with public access to amenities just 8 minutes from La Gorce Island.

At Fairway Park, you can enjoy a children's playground with swings, slides, a rock climbing walk, two tennis courts, a basketball court, a soccer field, and pavilions with public bathrooms and vending machines.

Oh, and did you know that it also has a dog park?

On the southeast corner, you'll find Fairway Park Bark Park with a double-gated dog entrance that allows owners to unleash their pets in a holding area before releasing them into the off-leash bark park.

Other dog park amenities include a complimentary dog waste collection station and disposal can.

Don't forget to bring a leash!

While the Bark Park allows dogs to explore without it, you'll need to put your pup on a lead in the rest of Fairway Park.

3) Pinetree Dog Park - Pinetree Park (Top Pick!)

4493 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33140

A serene waterfront natural area that features shady trees, leisure areas, asphalt walking paths, a kayak launch, and more, Pinetree Park is a dreamy nature destination that you can share with Fido just 8 minutes from La Gorce Island.

Aside from the above-mentioned amenities and facilities, Pinetree Park boasts a community garden and a bark park for furry visitors.

Here, you'll find two fenced areas, divided for small and large breeds, where your dog can run wild with their four-legged friends, and benches for owners to sit on while they wait.

Before you leave, grab some of the complimentary water available at the hydration stations around the park.

Although this dog park is off-leash, your dog must remain on-leash before entering and exiting the dog park.

4) Stillwater Bark Park - Stillwater Park

8440 Hawthorne Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33141

Located at the entrance of gated Stillwater is Stillwater Park, a cozy triangle-shaped green space in the Biscayne Beach neighborhood of Miami Beach, just 9 minutes from La Gorce Island.

Here, you'll find amenities for all ages, including a playground designed for children ages 5–12, spring riders, a climbing board, a track rider (or zip line), a seesaw, toddler and youth swings, a fully lit basketball court, and a grassy field with benches.

There are also picnic tables and benches peppered throughout Stillwater Park.

The good news? It has a bark park for Fido!

Located at the northwest corner, the Stillwater Bark Park features two double-gated dog entrance areas, divided for small and large breeds, allowing owners to unleash their pets in a holding area before releasing them into the off-leash spots.

Other park amenities include a drinking fountain for owners and dogs, waste collection, and disposal containers.

5) Miami Beach Boardwalk

46th Street & Collins Avenue to 23rd Street, Miami Beach, FL 33140

While the famous Miami Beach Boardwalk isn't considered a park, per se, this four-mile stretch of walkway is best for walks, sightseeing, and people-watching with Fido, just 10 minutes from La Gorce Island!

Heads up — the beach itself isn't dog-friendly, but the good thing about the boardwalk is you're welcome to run or walk with your dog on a leash along this path, provided you're considerate of others.

Nonetheless, taking this trail means more chances to see the sun, sand, and waves of Miami Beach with your pup, buy from local vendors, watch street performers, and join events often set up along the way.

If your furry pal loves a nice, long walk with lots of new sights and smells, Miami Beach Boardwalk is a perfect place to get sunshine and exercise!

6) Paws Up Dog Park

Corner of Byron Avenue and 93rd Street, Surfside, FL 33154

If you're looking for a spot to let your dog off-leash while exploring La Gorce Island, visit Paws Up Dog Park, a fun grassy park made just for pups, just a 10-minute drive from home!

While small and offers few amenities, Paws Up Dog Park may be what your dog needs for some downtime in Surfside.

Paws Up Dog Park has fenced areas for small and large breeds, pet waste stations, and enough space for running around and meeting new furry pals!

Don't forget to bring your pup's leash!

7) 92nd Street Park

92nd St., Bay Harbor Islands, FL 33154

Once an under-utilized parking lot, Bay Harbor Islands' 92nd Street Park has been converted into an urban community park with an open green lawn and a dedicated dog-run area just 10 minutes from La Gorce Island.

Yes, dog lovers, 92nd Street Park welcomes your furry pals with open arms!

Here, you can stroll with your pup, hang out, and do a doggy workout with its doggie agility equipment!

Tire your doggos out and let them run freely through the exciting course!

92nd Street Park also offers exercise equipment for the 'hoomans,' water fountains, benches, picnic tables, and solar-powered lighting.
