Clip that leash on and prepare Fido for a tail-wagging adventure amidst sprawling green spaces, shaded trails, and refreshing bay breezes as you discover the dog-friendly escapes around Kings Bay, a "Hidden Boater's Paradise" in one of Miami's most exclusive corners.

Renowned for its tranquil charm and exclusive access to Biscayne Bay, Kings Bay is a haven for those seeking a quiet life along the water without sacrificing proximity to creature comforts, from dining and shopping to indoor and outdoor entertainment.

But wait, it gets better!

Thanks to its location just minutes from Miami's vibrant energy, four-legged residents enjoy the perks of nearby parks and outdoor spaces, where they can roam, romp, and play — all day, every day!

Whether it's a quick jaunt to the park or a relaxing stroll along scenic paths, every outing is a pawsome experience for your canine buddy.

So, let your pup lead the way to breezy bayside walks and wide-open playgrounds, as every sniff and bound promises a day full of wag-worthy fun!

The best part? It's just a 3-minute drive from Kings Bay!

At Chapman Field Park, you'll find sun and surf activities for you and your furry best friend.

Aside from its list of trails to explore, baseball fields for unlimited games of fetch, and grassy areas to run around, the expansive park boasts kayaking and canoeing areas, where you can engage in water sports or dip to cool off after a fun park day.

Meanwhile, its off-leash areas have separate sections for large and small dogs.

Clean-up bags are available at Chapman Field Park, but bring drinking water to keep Fido's thirst at bay.

If you're looking for a day of flora and fauna with your canine pal, visit Pinecrest Gardens, a famous Pinecrest attraction near Kings Bay, just a 6-minute drive.

A "paw-some" tourist spot that delivers big on beauty, charm, and nature, the garden is home to an array of amenities, including a zoo, parks, and a pond!

And while it's closed to furry visitors during the week, the recreational haven turns into a pup-friendly park during the weekends, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

During this time, you and your best friend will have a great time exploring the different trails and having fun.

The Pinecrest Gardens staff can provide anything your dog might need to have a good time at Pinecrest Gardens.

It includes water bowls, drinking water, and cleanup bags.

Park officials also have leads on a lending system, in case you forgot yours at home.

Aside from the trails, you'll find grass and picnic areas around the garden, so you and Fido can also enjoy a picnic on the grounds if the mood strikes.

Dogs are allowed to visit on leashes.

5) Pawcrest Park-Suniland Park (Top-Pick!)

12855 Pinecrest Pkwy, Pinecrest, FL 33156

Opened in the height of the pandemic, the Pawcrest Park in Suniland Park is one of the perfect spots in Pinecrest to bring your pup, only a 7-minute drive from Kings Bay!

We promise this park is going to get its tail wagging!

Located in Suniland Park, a buzzing 10-acre park with baseball and football fields, batting cages, a recreation center, basketball courts, a green lawn, and walking paths, Pawcrest Park offers a gated area for four-legged visitors where they can run around with their furry pals, explore, and get their daily exercise.

It also has a water fountain to ease your pup's thirst.

After the quick retreat at Pawcrest Park, you and your pup can also explore the rest of Suniland Park and check out its amenities and facilities, provided your dog is on a leash.

6) Rockdale Park

9325 SW 146th St, Miami, FL 33176

Offering pet owners the opportunity to bond with their furry loved ones while enjoying the great Kendall outdoors, Rockdale Park is a lush dog-friendly park near Rockland Pineland County Reserve, just 7 minutes from Kings Bay!

Known as one of the largest out of fourteen dog parks in Miami-Dade, Rockdale Park has enough space for dogs of all shapes, sizes, and activity levels to roam about and enjoy a sunny weekend.

And unlike most designated dog parks, its entirety is dedicated to encouraging dog owners, young and old, to frolic, run, play, chase, and roll about with their pups within its borders.

Yes, the whole of Rockdale Park is a doggy haven and not merely within a larger park!

But that's not all!

Rockdale Park is also only a few blocks from the sandy beaches of Southern Florida, so it's a great spot to start or end an early-morning beach run with your favorite furry pal!

Other amenities include clean-up stations with disposable baggies and waste-specific trash cans to help owners clean up after their pets and keep the area spruced up.

7) Perrine Wayside Dog Park

16425 S. Dixie Highway, Palmetto Bay, FL 33157

Lushly landscaped with two entrances, Perrine Wayside Dog Park is Palmetto Bay's resident dog park, newly enhanced and ready to welcome 'hoomans' and dogs alike, just 8 minutes from Kings Bay!

Standing at three acres, the unique bark park offers a separate area for large and small breeds, an attractive gazebo where pet parents can seek refuge under the hot sun, and park furniture for relaxing and hanging out.

There is also a large filtered pond for dipping and water play, but note that there are turtles, tadpoles, and fish in the pond too.

Other features include water fountains with low, medium, and standard faucets for dogs and their owners, several places to pick up your dog's waste, and a peaceful setting that you and your dog will enjoy every time you visit.

Don't forget Fido's leash!

8) Dante Fascell Park

10) Whispering Pines Park

8800 Ridgeland Dr, Cutler Bay, FL 33157

And it's only a 9-minute drive from Kings Bay!

Here, you'll find a sports field, a playground for children, and a small picnic area with tables and benches.

Visiting dogs will enjoy its simple walking path that loops the park.

But remember to keep your dog leashed inside Whispering Pines Estates Park and bring a doggie bowl to share water from the fountains.

11) Bel-Aire Park

18500 SW 97 Avenue, Cutler Bay, FL 33157

A spot for dog walking, Bel-Aire Park is a 5-acre park located on Franjo Road south of SW 184th Street, home to the Palmetto Raiders Youth Development Club tackle football and cheerleading program, located 10 minutes from Kings Bay.

Used for soccer and lacrosse practices and games for both adults and kids, Bel-Aire Park boasts a well-lit sports field and open spaces perfect for daily walks with your pup.

Further inside, you'll also find a playground for children and benches where you can take a breather after exercising with your dog around its extensive mix of trees and open green space.

Don't forget to bring Fido's leash and a water bowl for your pup to drink, as the fountains in this park are designed for humans.

12) Banyan Drive Park

9055 Banyan Dr, Coral Gables, FL 33156

A quaint park near Kings Bay, only a 10-minute drive, Banyan Drive Park may be 'lacking' in amenities, but it offers a vast green space to walk with your pup-- and a beautiful view of Center Lake along with it!

Come to the small nature area and enjoy a fun stroll with Fido, and bring the kids too for a quick run-around at the park's playground.

Just be sure to bring water, doggie bags, and a leash, as Banyan Drive Park doesn't have a water fountain to get water from, nor a restroom in case the 'call of nature' strikes!

Dogs are allowed to visit on leashes.

13) Van Smith Park

7800 SW 59th Ave, South Miami, FL 33143

Dogs on leashes are allowed inside Van Smith Park.

14) Fuchs Park

6445 SW 81st St, Miami, FL 33143

Despite its proximity to US-1, Fuchs Park is a surprisingly lush environment you can visit after an exhausting city exploration, especially since it's only 10 minutes from Kings Bay.

It has a perfect location adjacent to the city's Chamber South, a playground, restrooms, pavilions, picnic tables and benches, and a sand volleyball court.

Aside from its amenities, Fuchs Park offers a pond area, considered its feature element, a haven for an array of water birds.

The park also has a pedestrian-only trail perfect for a stroll with Fido and a water fountain to quench your pup's thirst.

Dogs on leashes are allowed inside Fuchs Park.

15) Dadeland Dog Park  (Top-Pick!)

8250 SW 72nd Ave., Miami, FL 33143

A well-maintained pup facility near Kings Bay, Dadeland Dog Park may be on the smaller side, but it's one that your dog will love to visit, just a 10-minute drive.

A block away from Dadeland Mall, the whole dog park is covered, so you and your dog will be well out of the sun's heat during your stay.

It also boasts agility equipment for Fido's enjoyment and a pretty central location, so if you run out of things to do in the park, you can easily take your dog for a stroll to a nearby establishment and continue the fun there!

Please note that a leash is required when going in and out of the dog park.
