Lying in the southern part of the county, Cutler Bay is a beautiful coastal community offering an array of natural and cultural attractions for locals and tourists alike-- a suburban city that you and your pup will love to explore!

The youngest municipality in Miami-Dade County, Cutler Bay, was established and incorporated in 2005 and mostly consists of residential neighborhoods bearing an active and growing population.

And while it's not among the tourist-heavy neighborhoods like South Beach or Brickell, it's one of Miami-Dade's most family-friendly cities, with a few tourist spots, parks, and natural attractions to boot!

There's no doubt that Fido will enjoy this town's green parks and wide-open spaces!

Here's a list of dog-friendly parks in Cutler Bay.

1) Cutler Ridge Park and Pool (Top-Pick!)

10100 SW 200th St, Cutler Bay, FL 33189

If you're looking to enjoy an array of recreational activities, indoors AND outdoors, while getting in a few steps with Fido, Cutler Ridge Park and Pool will pique your interest!

A 10-acre park located on SW 200th Street west of Coral Sea Road and directly adjacent to Cutler Ridge Elementary School, Cutler Ridge Park & Pool is home to Albion SC Miami (formerly Cutler Ridge Soccer Club), the Riptides Swim and Water Polo teams, and Southern Wahoos Aquatic Team.

It offers a multi-purpose recreation building, a 25-meter swimming pool, lighted and unlighted athletic fields, a picnic pavilion, and an expansive covered playground.

There are also outdoor picnic areas for small gatherings within the park.

Be sure to keep your pup on a leash when you visit Cutler Ridge Park, especially if you plan on taking him to common areas in and around the park's perimeters!

It's also best to bring your own poop bags and water for your convenience.

2) Bel-Aire Park

18500 SW 97 Avenue, Cutler Bay, FL 33157

A spot for easy dog walking, Bel-Aire Park is a 5-acre park located on Franjo Road south of SW 184th Street, home to the Palmetto Raiders Youth Development Club tackle football and cheerleading program.

Bel-Aire Park is also used extensively for adult soccer and youth lacrosse practices and games, as it boasts a lighted athletic field.

Among the smaller parks within the neighborhood, its size and convenient location make it perfect for daily walks with your pup.

It has a playground for children and benches where you can take a breather after exercising with your dog around its extensive mix of trees and open green space.

Don't forget to bring Fido's leash and a water bowl for your pup to drink, as the fountains in this park are designed for humans.

3) Lakes by the Bay Park (Top-Pick!)

8551 SW 216th St, Cutler Bay, FL 33189

A 45-acre multi-use park located on SW 216th Street, one block east of SW 87th Avenue (directly behind Whigham Elementary School), Lakes by the Bay Park is another expansive recreational park you can bring Fido to when you're in Cutler Bay!

Primarily used for baseball, Lakes by the Bay Park boasts three lighted baseball/softball fields with four batting cages, taking up most of the park's space.

It also has two lighted soccer/football/lacrosse fields, a .6-mile exercise path with fitness stations, a covered playground, and a concession building with restrooms.

In December 2020, a canoe/kayak launch, three pavilions, and other amenities like a volleyball court and fitness stations were opened at the park.

Dogs on leashes are allowed along the edges of the park. Located on the outskirts of Cutler Bay, it's perfect for residents who live away from the city center and don't want to drive to another neighborhood to walk their dogs.

Don't forget to bring a doggie bowl so your dog can drink from the fountains!

4) Saga Bay Park

8000 SW 205th St, Cutler Bay, FL 33189

A 5-acre park that contains four lighted tennis courts, outdoor fitness equipment, a covered playground, a paved walking path, restrooms, and plenty of open space, Fido will surely have a fun time spent in Saga Bay Park!

At Saga Bay Park, dog owners can walk their pups in its vast green area while enjoying a quick game of tennis or exercising using the park's outdoor exercise equipment!

You can also take advantage of Saga Bay Park's paved walking path to do your morning or afternoon run or let Fido run its length, leashed.

Since Saga Bay Park doesn't have much shade, bring enough water for you and your furry pal, and of course, its leash!

5) Saga Lake Park  (Top-Pick!)

Southwest 198th Street & 83rd Avenue, Cutler Bay, FL 33189

Saga Lake Park is another nature spot in Saga Bay on Saga Lake and one you shouldn't miss when visiting Cutler Bay with Fido!

While mostly passive, the park offers a five-acre open area that contains a picnic pavilion, paved fitness path, picnic tables, and a practice baseball/softball field.

Since it's right by the water, it also has a spectacular view, so you'll get an ideal backdrop to your exercise session or morning walk with your pup!

The walking path here is PERFECT for you and your dog to stretch your legs!

Bring doggie bags to clean up after your pup, and take the paved walking path straight to the water.

You'll have to bring your own water and water bottle, as this park is heavy on nature and light on amenities.

6) Whispering Pines Park

8800 Ridgeland Dr, Cutler Bay, FL 33157

Another small park in Cutler Bay, Whispering Pines Park, is of average size for a suburban park at 1.3 acres, but what it lacks in space, it makes up for with variety!

At the park, you'll find a sports field and a playground for children.

There is also a small picnic area, complete with tables and benches.

Visiting dogs will enjoy its simple walking path that loops the park.

Keep your dog leashed inside Whispering Pines Estates park, and bring a doggie bowl to share water from the fountains.
