Two festive towns that offer delicious and vast culinary scenes, eclectic vibes, world-class shopping, and natural beauty, Coral Terrace & Flagami should be on your list of places to visit with Fido when traveling to Miami!

Nestled west of Little Havana and east of Fontainebleau, Flagami is roughly defined as south and east of Tamiami Canal, north of Tamiami Trail (US 41/South Eighth Street), and west of Red Road (SR 959/SW 57th Avenue), bisected by Flagler Street.

It is also just south of Miami International Airport and Blue Lagoon, a famous water park in Doral Golf Resort.

On a map of Miami proper, Flagami is the distinct "tail" that juts out of the west border of the city

Meanwhile, Coral Terrace is roughly defined as west of Red Road (SR 959/SW 57th Avenue), east of (SR 959/SW 67th Avenue), south of Tamiami Trail (US 41/South Eighth Street), and north of Bird Road (SR 979/SW 40th Street).

Tropical Park is within minutes of Coral Terrace.

And you know what else is great about these two vibrant communities?

They've got some 'Fido-friendly' parks that'll have you and your pup FLOORED!

There's nothing like a memorable stroll with your best canine pal around Coral Terrace and Flagami!

Here's a list of dog-friendly parks in Coral Terrace & Flagami.

1) Coral Villas Park

6398 SW 35th St, Miami, FL 33155

For playtime with your pup around town, look to Coral Villas Park, a neighborhood hangout for local families that offer an expansive playground and open area for kids!

The park's playground equipment features Evos for children 5 to 12 years old and Dino Climber for children ages 2-5.

It also has two-bay swings with shade structures and artificial turf surfacing throughout.

The Evos unit is a patented play system that combines climbing cables and suspended play events designed to challenge users physically and mentally as they discover the limits of their creativity.

This free-form equipment encourages school-age children to interact and invent games as they develop strength and balance by mastering the equipment.

Further, Coral Villas Park's new development includes Walkways, landscaping, and access control.

The perimeter of the park has been densely planted with Stoppers and Buttonwoods, two hearty native shrubs that require little care and water.

The shrubs provide privacy for the neighbors and food for birds and butterflies.

There are also Native Tamarind and Oak trees, which enhance the beautiful Oaks already growing on the property and create a shady haven for the neighborhood to enjoy over the years.

Dogs are allowed in this park, leashed.

2) Tropical Dog Park - Tropical Park (Top-Pick!)

7900 SW 40th St, Miami, FL 33155

Developed on the site of a former horse track in 1979, the famous Tropical Park in Coral Terrace attracts approximately 1,500,000 visitors annually for its fun outdoor activities, like bicycling, walking, or running on the miles of paved pathways, and an array of facilities, including equestrian and community centers.

But 'hoomans' aren't the only kinds of visitors Tropical Park welcomes daily.

This park loves getting canine guests too!

Lying in the heart of Tropical Park is one of the largest dog parks in Coral Terrace, the Tropical Dog Park!

This bark park offers two fully fenced sections suitable for off-leash play and a safe space designed for small, elderly, and shy dogs!

At Tropical Dog Park, dog runs are well-equipped to provide a fun day at the park for Fido and his family.

The play areas boast water access for dogs and humans, shower stations, agility equipment, ample seating in shaded areas, and complimentary poop bags.

Meanwhile, when not in designated off-leash areas, dogs must remain on a lead.

Other on-site amenities include the Ronald Reagan Equestrian Center, the Mary Abreu Community Center, the Tennis Center, and the Track and Stadium.

There is also a weekly Farmer's Market hosted on the grounds.

3) Antonio Maceo Park

5135 NW 7th St, Miami, FL 33126

A quaint park that offers quiet, clean, and spacious spaces to walk with your dog, Antonio Maceo Park is one of the most famous neighborhood parks in the Coral Terrace-Flagami area, and one that you shouldn't miss, especially if you're looking for a spot with breathtaking views of the water.

Aside from its walking trails, the park boasts a boat ramp, picnic tables for relaxing or eating, an expansive playground for the kids, and a beautiful lagoon with ducks and other birds hanging out.

It's also one of few waterfront parks in town, so you'll have a big lake as your backdrop as you stroll around with Fido on a morning or afternoon walk.

Did you know that Antonio Maceo Park is a spot for jet skiing, too?

At the park, you can watch people jet skiing on the bay while you exercise or take a rest on the benches after a long, tiring day under the sun.

Dogs are allowed in this park, leashed.

4) Lisbon Park

1015 Lisbon Street, Coral Gables, FL 33134

A Coral Gables mini-park that serves as a hidden oasis amidst the city, Lisbon Park is the perfect spot to relax after an intense workout, stroll, or enjoy its peaceful green surroundings.

And the good news is, it's among the list of dog-friendly parks in City Beautiful and nearby the Coral Terrace-Flagami area, too!

Exuding a whimsical feel, with lots of shade and butterflies flying around, Lisbon Park is a picturesque area you can visit with Fido for a quick walk.

It offers a pebbled pathway with patches of grass for your little ones to play on, a drinking fountain, and aesthetic sculptures that add to its natural beauty!

5) Grapeland Heights Park (Top-Pick!)

1550 NW 37th Ave, Miami, FL 33125

Anchored by its famous water park, Grapeland Heights Park is a paw-rrific spot to bring your dog when visiting Coral Terrace and Flagami.

Safe to say, with its family-friendly activities and top-notch facilities, this recreational destination has something special for every member of the family to enjoy-- even ones with fur!

Although dogs are not allowed to access the water park area, the last day of the season, typically held on the first Sunday in October annually, is an exception.

The day is dedicated solely to pups!

For a fee, Fido may freely swim, splash, and play to their heart's content in the shallow pools at this water park!

Aside from Grapeland Height Park's puppy palooza water day, dogs can look forward to the park's walkways, where you and your furry pal can get your walking groove ON!

Lush green grass lines the property and provides you with the pawrfect spot for a picnic lunch or a game of fetch or tug with your doggo!

Other park amenities include a baseball field, picnic tables, and a playground for the kids.

Dogs are allowed in this park, leashed.
