In many ways, the quaint Bay Harbor Islands offer the best of both worlds, with the town itself removed from the hustle and bustle of nearby metro Miami, yet the city's abundant attractions are within an easy drive.

And I'm sure Fido will agree, too!

Comprised of two compact and balmy kidney-shaped islets, the neighborhood of Bay Harbor Islands is known as a sun-soaked town, sandwiched between the larger cities of Aventura to the north and Miami Beach to the south

Its two islands are better known as Broadview and Bay Harbor, the western and eastern islands, respectively.

The community lies east of North Miami and west of Bal Harbor/Surfside, and it is north of the archipelago of small islands that encloses Biscayne Bay

It covers less than half a square mile and is separated from the Miami mainland by a causeway

Despite their tiny size, the two islands showcase the natural beauty of Miami and are a 'paw'-some destination you can share with your furry travel companion!

Lush, tropical areas, boutique shopping, iconic landmarks, and fun outdoor activities?

No doubt, you and your furbaby will be down for that!

Here's a list of dog-friendly parks in the Bay Harbor Islands.

1)92nd Street Park

92nd St., Bay Harbor Islands, FL 33154

What was once an under-utilized parking lot, Bay Harbor Islands' 92nd Street Park, has been converted into an urban community park with an open green lawn and a dedicated dog-run area.

Yes, dog lovers, 92nd Street Park welcomes your furry pals with open arms!

Here, you can take a stroll with your pup, hang out, and do a doggy workout with its doggie agility equipment!

Tire your doggos out and let them run freely through the exciting course!

92nd Street Park also offers exercise equipment for the 'hoomans,' water fountains, benches, picnic tables, and solar-powered lighting.

2) Officer Scott A. Winters Park (Top-Pick!)

1145 98th St, Bay Harbor Islands, FL 33154

Officer Scott A. Winters Park, the most famous town park, is also a hit with doggies and pet owners who need Q-time in Bay Harbor Islands!

The park was named after Officer Scott Winters, who grew up in the Bay Harbor Islands and served as a member of the Pompano Beach Police Department when he was shot and killed on the evening of July 29th, 1990.

It is a local favorite nature spot for families and tourists with numerous recreational activities and amenities like park benches, pavilions, playgrounds, and an interactive splash pad with water jets and sculptural features.

The park is also the ultimate go-to for dog owners, as it offers a separate expansive dog run and park at the adjacent 98th Street Dog Park.

It's, indeed, a fun spot everyone in the family will enjoy, furry or otherwise!
