What's new in Midtown?

I've all the juicy "deets" for anyone who wants to know!

With a promise of a dynamic urban lifestyle with a CREATIVE twist, Midtown lives up to its reputation as an unrivaled up-and-coming district with something FRESH for all the globetrotters, from trendsetting dining spots to luxurious hotels and towering residential developments all around its six bustling blocks!

Indeed, it's true when they say that all good things come in "small" packagesespecially if you're in the "heart" of the Metropolitan, Midtown Miami!

Here are 4 things new to watch for in Midtown.

Midtown Is Reshaping The Metro's Architectural Landscape With Three New Residential Towers — And More To Come!

Where: across Midtown

When: Summer 2024, 2025, and TBA

Big news for renters and condo hunters dreaming of a spot in the heart of the Metro!

The long wait is over - Midtown just added THREE more towers to your list of options!

Okay, well, I'm exaggerating a bit.

They won't be available in a few years, but the projects are moving forward, with one ready for occupancy in Summer 2024!

And you best believe they won't just offer new apartments and condo units to rent or own — they're out to reshape Miami Metro's architectural landscape!

Feast your eyes on The Standard Residences, Midtown 7, and FORMA Tower, Midtown's newest pre-construction developments!

The Standard Residences (3100 NE 1st Ave.) is a 12-story luxury condo tower with 228 pied-a-terre-style units, 35,000 square feet of amenities, and 10,000 square feet of retail space co-developed by Standard International and Rosso Development, set to be completed in 2025.

On the other hand, Almi Developers' Midtown 7 (3001 N.E. First Ave.), albeit still in its early stages, is expected to be approximately 28 stories and will offer 389 rental units, 28,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space, and 501 parking spaces to accommodate residents and visitors alike!

Lastly, Forma Tower (2900 Biscayne Blvd.) is a planned mixed-use development by Crescent Heights is expected to be 39 stories with 588 move-in ready apartments, 42,030 square feet of retail, and 748 garage parking spaces available at the end of summer 2024!

There's also a luxury condo tower project recently submitted to FAA by Miami-based Terra, in partnership with Lion Development Group, on the Midtown Gateway site (3501 NE 1st Ave.), which is said to be Midtown's tallest tower at 56 stories, but details have yet to be revealed.

Arquitectonica is the architectural firm for the four towers.

Stay tuned for more updates!

Do you think new homes are the only thing you're looking forward to once Midtown's upcoming mixed-use developments are complete?

Here's the icing on the cake — Whole Foods Market is also setting up a new location in Midtown, right on the ground floor of Forma, Crescent Heights' 39-story pre-construction tower!

With meticulous planning and an estimated budget of $7 million, Whole Foods gears up to commence construction of a sprawling, 50,812 square-foot Midtown store, a game-changer in the area's architectural excellence and economic growth!

Not to mention that locals will have a new state-of-the-art supermarket steps away from their front doors!

When will this highly anticipated grocery shopping destination rise?

We'll be watching this construction like a hawk!

A Famous Design District Food Spot Is Reopening In Midtown!

Where: 3255 NE 1st Ave., Miami, FL 33137

When: May 2024

Do you remember the popular Design District Nikkei restaurant, Itamae, that closed in August 2023?

Well, it's bouncing back with a new name and new concept right on the bustling streets of Midtown!

Yes, foodies, you read it right!

Moving into a new Midtown location as Itamae AO, your favorite Design District Peruvian food spot has been reborn as an Omakase restaurant with an intimate setting — the "12 guest-at-a-time" kind!

As per chef and co-owner Nando Chang, this move will provide an elevated dining experience for their guests and patrons, alongside an unrivaled menu inspired by the Chang family's ancestral ties to the seaport towns of Pacasmayo and Barranca!

Itamae AO's new location is housed next door to its sister restaurant, Maty's, also one of Midtown's newest dining spots, and will open in May 2024.

Midtown's Newest Food Destinations

Where: across Midtown

When: Happening Now!

The news of Itamae AO's grand opening in May 2024 may have gotten you pumped up for the future of Midtown's dining scene.

And while everyone has different preferences, one thing's for sure — you'll never run out of delicious spots for your date night in Midtown ever again!

In fact, just recently, Maty's (3255 NE 1st Ave) and Marie Blachère French Bakery (3421 NE 1st Ave) opened their restaurants across Midtown, perfect for those craving French pastries fresh out of the oven or anything Peruvian!

Meanwhile, The Shops at Midtown welcomed Fresh Kitchen (3201 N Miami Ave #103) this year and is also expecting the arrival of La Cabrera, an Argentinian steakhouse, pretty soon, so you've got more options amidst!

Which restaurant will join Midtown next?

Keep your eyes peeled!
