The Revitalization Of An "Aging" Park — The Shenandoah Park Improvement Project COMPLETES!
Where: 1800 SW 21st Ave, Miami, FL 33145
When: Happening Now!
Despite being the only park in Shenandoah, Shenandoah Park was due for a makeover — and Miami-Dade County answered the "call!"
Yes, peeps, Shenandoah's "aging" park has been REBORN, thanks to the Shenandoah Park Improvements and Pool Enhancements Project!
And let me tell you, the project didn't just provide new equipment, landscaping, and lighting — it brought a plethora of new facilities to Shenandoah Park!
We're talking a brand-new Aquatic Center with an Olympic-sized swimming pool (replacing the existing smaller pool), two new basketball courts, extended sidewalks, expansive gathering spaces, a new baseball field, a new soccer field, new fitness equipment, a library plaza, and ball field improvements!
So, say goodbye to the old Shenandoah Park — a new version just arrived to fill your weekends!

Shenandoah Blooms — Literally!
Where: across Shenandoah
When: Happening Now!
While we're still months away from the summer season, the heat has started to show its ugly face, and everyone's feeling the temperature rising across Miami!
So, to aid the City of Miami's initiative to increase the area's tree canopy, Shenandoah has announced a new community project called "The Flowering of Shenandoah" to encourage residents to sign up for a flowering tree on their swale or neighboring public area, especially the spots in dire need of some shade!
And to create a special identity for the community, the neighborhood association suggests residents pick the Cassia Bakeriana, otherwise known as the Pink Shower Tree, to be planted around Shenandoah!
So, if you've yet to sign up, fill up a form now and watch as these gorgeous trees and the whole of Shenandoah blossom!
